The unit weighs only 75 pounds (34 kg) and measures 17" x 12 1/2" x 24", making it one of the most powerful welders on the market — while remaining lightweight, portable, and compact. The rugged design and dependable performance of the ISW 1000 make it ideal for even the most demanding applications, such as construction, ship building, and fabrication shops.

The superior chopping frequency of 20,000 Hz is 10 times that of a typical unit, providing a much smoother arc than any competitive inverter-based stud welder. Because the ISW 1000 uses inverter technology, it delivers faster arc response and superior repeatability compared to traditional transformer/rectifier-based stud welders. Additionally, Image has simplified the user interface with only one button and one knob for maximum operator ease-of-use.
