Image Industries medium duty stud gun is suitable for 3/4' (19mm) weld studs. This gun uses a 2/0 external weld cable to handle the stud size yet to be lighter than heavy duty models. The construction is rugged, glass filled nylon. Unlike competitive units which are thermo set plastic the glass filled nylon with stands the most rugged environments. The heavy 3/16 (4.5mm) wall thickness means this gun can endure the most harsh shops. Image arc guns use a unique ball bearing clutch lift system. Competitive guns use a "hook and lock ring" lift mechanism. This hook and ring induces rotation into the gun. The Image lift system locks in a linear fashion to keep unwanted rotation out of the gun. All these design extras mean a long life tool to provide many years of reliable service. This gun can accept either standard morse taper stud chucks or it can accept 1/2-20 threaded chucks for maximum versitility. This model has a 2 wire Hubble connector to mate to Nelson Stud Welding 2 wire systems.
