Stud Weldable Hydraulic Ports can provide significant savings over other welded port alternatives. First, stud welding does not require spot facing of cylinders. Second, stud weldable ports do not require multiple ports with different radii for different diameter cylinders. Third, stud welded ports offer a full cross-sectional weld so leak performance is outstanding. This means less rework. Fourth, stud welding is fast. Typical weld times are 0.5-0.6 seconds. Fifth, because stud welding is fast, there is minimal heat distortion of the cylinder. This means less/no post-weld finishing operations.
